Hi, I’m Olive—like the tree. My name carries a sense of rootedness, and that spirit moves through my art. I’m an artist and composer working in poetry, storytelling, photography, sound, and song to explore healing and climate change. My work engages the emotional and spiritual dimensions of the environmental crisis, drawing on ancestral knowledge and ecological memory. I believe earth and her people have the right to survive—and to live fully—and that belief guides everything I make.

My exhibits include Inner and Outer Transformations: The Climate Crisis and The Response: Echoes Beneath the Rain. My writing appears in Culture Push Issue 21: Community and Climate Adaptation.

In addition to my creative work, I’ve spent over a decade working across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean at the intersection of climate adaptation, communications, and environmental justice. I currently serve as the Atlas of Disaster Outreach Coordinator at Rebuild by Design and created the People’s Toolkit for Flood Mitigation, a participatory resource for community-led responses to flooding and climate risk.

I’m a certified herbalist, fluent in English and French, and hold a Master’s degree focused on participatory communications and solid waste management in India. I also serve on the board of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS).

Let’s work in alignment with Mama Earth—with care, creativity, and courage.
